It’s a retrograde motion I’m experiencing, completely in sink with the current climate in more ways than one.
I’d love to say this is a good thing, and it probably is, but one can never say such things when one is in the midst of it. Only afterwards, when the movement has slowed down, stopped even, perhaps long enough for you to look for a signpost that says where you should be heading, and plot another course, a better one – only then, with forward motion firmly in hand, can one say:
“Ah… but it was worth it, the sliding, the slipping, the endless waiting for another stepping stone to rear its head in Topsy Turvy Land.”
