The other Tops are away for the weekend and I am convalescing. The moment spring arrived, my system gave in to the Flu. It’s nasty sidekick Fever had me in its grip for almost a week.
The wise woman inside of me said: “Go ahead, take some time off. You need to rest.”
Yesterday morning, I stuffed the greenhouse I got for my birthday (a nifty thing with a plastic coat you can open to let in extra air) with pots and trays with seeds. I ignored the weeds overgrowing the shells that cover the garden patch behind the house, and lay down in the sun.
Covered by a thick blanket, I slept. I slept a million years, because I am dog-tired.
The Flu, the Worries, the varied ways in which mankind is letting me know “Idiocracy” is here to stay – it’s a lot to take in.
I need to rest, for sure.
