A couple of weeks ago, I woke up to a core belief that seemed impervious to everything life holds dear: it is too late. Whatever we do, however we strive, there is no turning back. We are witness to the declining years of the Golden Age of Mankind on Earth.
Before you cut me off and never ever come back to explore my work, let me assure you that I am not depressed and still very much intent on thinkering in the flow, now more than ever.
Granted, it took me a little while to get over my initial anger. Here we are, the most ingenious vessels for consciousness on Earth, equipped with brains to act upon everything our heart resolves, fully aware of the massive body of evidence pointing us toward unity, both in the outer world and in the inner world – and what do we, as a collective, do?
Instead of sifting through the flow, taking out the poisoned bits and listening closely to what other life forms are telling us, so that we may translate their needs into ethical and constructive behaviour on our part, we get out the life boats, pack our weasely whispering Ego and any utensils it falsely claims to be essential, and push towards the rapidly darkening horizon. And we do so knowing that a little further down the stream, a vortex is awaiting our life boats, ready to devour all and sundry.
What good will this do, I thought to myself. Nothing is furthered by a lemming-like exit. Why is the universal consciousness not bent on directing matter toward a more favourable outcome – if not for mankind, then at least for other species?
Gradually, I came to see that my belief is linked to the lower frequency urge to attach meaning to experiences. This in itself is fine, but I had forgotten that experiences can have any meaning we like, or even no meaning at all.
I am now past the anger, and in a spurt of rejuvenation have formulated a lot of issues to ponder. My strand of thoughts is thickening, online and offline (even in my dreams) I am collecting lots and lots of input from other people, mostly thinkerers like me. (Some present themselves as gurus, others call themselves philosophers, or writers, or transition leaders. Some are human, some are not. What they have in common is that they thinker in the flow, and share the outcome.)
Do not think I am void of emotions. I am most definitely not. Emotions are lovely, but please be aware that they are like fuel pods, easily accessible from inside and outside the vessel. The pods can be rigged by outsiders, in an attempt to influence course. If you harness them correctly, emotions should serve you as adequate driving forces. Nothing more, nothing less.
Emotions are not the essence of life. Love is, and love is not an emotion, it is an integrated state of being, a connectedness that transients the havoc now being played in the outer world.
This is it for now. Click here for a video that sheds an interesting light on consciousness and matter.
PS I have rejuvenated Flowtops as well. The design has been altered, a new About page will follow shortly. If you wish, you can subscribe to delivery of my thinkering to your mailbox. Also, I think I have fixed any issues there were with the RSS feed. If not, please do let me know. I aim to stay afloat and “broadcast” on a regular basis from now on.
